We had created an extra day in our itinerary to be able to explore Jaeajini national park. And we are glad we did. Today we explored some of the breathtaking natural wonders in our home country.
We started off at Joffre Gorge lookout. Marty was being a party pooper when we managed to wave down someone to take a family pic, he took off jumping out of the frame and refusing to cooperate. I'm sure I've day he will wonder where he was when we visited Joffre Gorge and that's what I'll tell him. He was a party pooper that day 😂
We then took a drive to Red Gorge taking our bathers with us, because as we walked further along we got to Hancock's gorge which decended right down into the gorge.
It then narrowed off so your arm width can span across. It was a very wet and slippery journey through and the kids did a great job at being very careful. Clint did the last part by himself which was quite difficult. Unfortunately because you had to get fully submerged to do it, he wasn't able to get any photos of what it looked like but described it as like an oasis with walls.. we had taken out lunch down with us, so after soaking up this amazing utopia we headed back to the car. One last stop, Mt Bruce. This was on Clint's bucket list for the area, but after arriving and seeing what was involved in the 10km hike and the 3 hours it would take to return from the summit he thought better if it and we all the strolled to the first checkpoint a few hundred metes in. That was enough for today. Another campfire cook it chicken enchilada for dinner was a nice easy end to the busy day.
