The morning dolphin ritual we had figured out how to do so in a correct fashion! So we did that, much better viewing today. The water was calmer and dolphins coming closer.
Today was an adventure day, other than the dolphins at Monkey Mia there isn't a whole lot else happening there so we decided to do some exploring of the neighbouring National Park, Francois Peron.
First stop along the way was the town of Denham to stock up on fuel and a few supplies. Looks like a lovely little beachside town. We think we would base ourselves here next time and day trip to Monkey Mia.
Then it was off to Francois Peron National Park, a quick stop in at the local station homestead which has opened up to the public to use their warm bore water as a hot tub! It was a bit of a hot day and actually felt better getting out & letting the breeze cool you.
With tyres down we headed up the very bumpy and sandy track up the peninsula. Clint had so much fun driving! At the end the views were glorious, rich dessert red sand & cliffs contrasting against the beautiful blue water of the West.
A short walk & some marine life viewing from Sipjack point which has a couple of great viewing platforms out over the cliffs. We spotted 3 sharks, a green sea turtle, 4 Manta Ray, a string ray and some dolphins.
With all that excitement we were ready for a swim, so it was off to George's beach for a refreshing dip. Then back home along the adventurous track. It was a blast of a day.
