Day 47 - Dolphins, Sand Shelter, Sunset & Super Moon

We were up with the hords of others to see the dolphins do their thing at Monkey Mia.
We casually wandered up the beach to join the crowds. Thinking we were doing the right thing... The lady ankle deep in water quickly made her way up to us and turned off her microphone and asked if we had our tickets!?!
Apparently it was a bit more formal than we thought 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄 anyway daddy rushed off to get our pass and all was good! The boys were more interested in building sand castles than trying to see the dolphins as it was very windy and rough so the dolphins weren't coming too close to the shallows.
The morning was spent doing necessary 'admin' washing etc.
Daddy was lacking motivation, so mummy had a great idea to build a beach shelter using our floor tarp, it was a wondrous invention with the few resources including three spare poles, two pegs and a bit of rope. Mummy was the brains, day the braun when it came to building!
The boys spent hours at the beach, having the ability to retreat out of the sun meant for a full day including picnic lunch on the beach!
The sunset was yet another glorious one!
Followed up by a fun night staying up late and watching the Supermoon lunar eclipse!!
(photo courtesy of a friend Dean Allen Craig who was in Far North QLD at the time) but our view was very similar! The smartphone doesn't cut it when taking photos of the moon!
