It was a soggy wet start to the day and it took a couple hours before the rain would ease enough to get outside. We hadn't experienced this kind of heavy rain yet, but living out of a tent with 3 kids we do completely rely on the outdoors for the rest of our living. All the floor space is essentially just for beds. The outdoors has become an extention of our new home, our living space. So when the weather turned like it had, it kind of threw us. But never mind. Lego to the rescue!
By 10AM the weather was fine and the boys were back out on their bikes, giving us time to whip up a delicious bacon and egg roll lunch complete with baby chinos! Went down a treat, comfort food on a wet day 😋👌
Before we could get out and explore this beautiful, sleepy, holiday, fishing town, Micah was due for a sleep, so we got the washing done in the meantime then headed off to check out some of the many beaches, after scouting a few we landed at Blossoms beaches 8km west of Bremer Bay. It was perfect given the Easterly winds. We spent the afternoon building an eagle nest castle and protecting it with seaweed walls and a mote.
With the promise of ice cream for dessert (at the local brewery we wanted to try) we finally dragged the boys from the beach.
Sausages in bread went down a treat after all the hard work building and we headed off to the Bremer Bay Brewery were we meet Zane the owner, and tried a few of his own brews. This was Clint's new favourite beers and it was a cool little place to stop. With upside down boats for shade, and some seashell infused resin timer tables, it had good vibes to accompany it's smooth creamy ales that went down rather easy. Not to mention the 3x ice creams went down well also.
