Day 59 to 62 - Sunset Camel Ride on Cable Beach

BROOME
Today was a special day. It was the day anticipated by all the kids. When we were planning the trip and asked if there was anything they would like to do anywhere in Australia Judd and Marty both said ride a camel in Broome. They had been sold the idea from the Alison Lester book 'Are we there yet' but the dream was now going to become a reality thanks to a present from Grandma and Grandpa for Marty's birthday. The 5 of us would all be setting viewing sunset on Cable beach riding camels.
Micah rode with dad and Judd was on his own seat on a camel named Tanami, while Marty rode with mum on a camel named Raj

Some of our other highlights in Broome included:
 - Searching for dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume point.
Claire even became a dinosaur
And Clint even found one just before the tide came in. - We enjoyed some more beautiful beaches
 - Dad got in a shot of fishing
 - spending countless hours in by the pool, dad read his book and the boys jumped in and out as they got too hot in the sun then too cold from being in the pool, Micah's bottom lip would shake but he still wanted to stay in.
 - On our last night we went to the night market
and Claire got a set of fresh water pearl earrings

We made a few trips into the bolt shop and Bunnings to get tools and supplies to mend the broken bits in the CRUZIE and Sandy ahead of our drive along the Gibb river road notorious for destroying vehicles, especially with reports this season that it is particularly bad.

P.S. - it may be a while until our next blog as we are heading up into the Kimberly's and don't expect to get reception there. We plan to arrive in Darwin on the 28th of June.
