It was a great road to Weipa as far as dirt roads go. We checked into our pre-booked site. It was large and a beachfront, we were super lucky. The boys spent time making friends and playing on the beach.
We spent our second day preparing for our tippy top trip. We arranged an adapter for our fridge to go in CRUZIE and a water tank. In the afternoon we hit up the pool
Tomorrow was Claire's birthday so we scoped out our cake options and the boys got their craft on and made some special cards.
We woke up and gave mum (Claire) our special cards and present and had a cut fruit and cereal breakfast.
Mum had a slow morning reading her book and then in the afternoon we went for a drive around town and bought a special cake. We played party games in the afternoon including doughnut on a string, balloon relay and an obstacle race.
That evening we got special dinner out and had burgers and fish and chips. Just what we had been craving.
We sang happy birthday to our special mum and had a chocolate cheese cake. We had a glowstick partyand stayed up late.
It was lots of fun. Marty got a bit too excited and got some in his eye, which was an unfortunate end to a great day. He was however very brave and was fine in the end.
