Day 20 - Rest, Relax & Restock

ESPERANCE

We used today to do a bit of a regroup. It happened to be a hot and windy day getting up to 33 degrees. It found everyone a bit hot and bothered and we had also now spent the best part of 3 weeks travelling seeing town after town and we were ready for some down time without too much excitement. We spent the morning completing some washing and some other essentials.

Once it warmed up the tent became an oven. The best source of refuge happens to be the car so we went for a drive to do the Great Ocean Tourist drive. A 40km loop around all the western beaches and past the Pink (not so much) Lake. 

Fun Fact: the sea has salt content of 3% whereas a pink lake has salt content of 35%. 

We had a car lunch stopped at Salmon beach and then meandered along to route before arriving back in the mid afternoon for a taco spread dinner. Yummy!
