Day 102 - Goodbyes, Waterfalls & Dust bowls

DARWIN TO EDITH FALLS
Saying goodbye was hard. Ali and the boys left early for their first day back at school for term 3. There was lots of hugs and a long wave goodbye down their driveway. Adrian left shortly after and another long wave goodbye down the driveway. We then left after packing up our final things with no one to say goodbye to.
The drive felt long and slow and Claire found it hard to be so close but heading away from family. We reach Edith falls and attempted to get a camp site. Although it was the first term 3 school day the national park was still packed it without even space for a tent. We parked up and walked into the falls. Clint and Marty made the big swim over to the falls. We spent most of the afternoon hanging out on the lawn. Claire cooked up our left over dinner and we ate it on the grass.
Seeing some free camps on our way in we made our way back and picked a camp near the river. It was full of bull dust and the boys had fun kicking it up. Now being filthy right before bed time a cold bucket bath near the river cleaned then up for bedtime.
