EDITH FALLS TO TOMATO ISLAND
Today's first mission was to get the kids in the car without being covered in bull dust! 👏Yay we succeeded 🙌 clean kids in the car post breakfast & pack up ✅
Our first stop was at Katherine, top up on fuel and internet usage at the visitors centre because we had a few pressing issues to sort out at home. While Claire was in the visitors centre she ran into some of Luke & Laura's friends from Melbourne, Bish & Fab. Reminded of how small the world is! So strange seeing people in the middle of nowhere!
Second stop was lunch and a swim at Bitter Springs, a beautiful thermal creek. We jumped in one end and floated our way down stream in the crystal clear waters, enjoying the water lillies and fish spotting as we went. We did this numerous times, hopping out at the end and back in up the top of the creek. It's a great place to swim & would recommend this spot for sure.
We drove along Savannah Way, a narrow bitumun road (to start with) then rough dirt track through Limmin National Park. To tomato Island campsite, a lovely spot. Even with some green grass still! BBQ dinner and hot showers 🙌
