The morning was slow and involved catching up on the previous week of washing. We arranged to hire a triple seater canoe to paddle up the gorge in the Lawn Hill National Park. It was a cosy ride and bother mum and dad paddled. We came after paddling for about 30mins we came across the water falls. It wasn't the high falling falls that we had become accustomed to but a majestic natural horizon pool surrounded by tropical plants spilling over onto the water, which then over flowed at 5 different points into the next step of the river coarse.
We had packed our lunch for a picnic on the way yummy ham, salad & chip sandwiches. We ate by the water before jumping in for a swim. We played under the falls.
Mum and dad picked up the canoe and launched it into the upper section of the river with help of some lovely strangers. Although we were running out of time on our hire so all the boys jumped in for a quick 10min explore, Judd and Dad paddled before we all jumped back in and raced all the way back, we only stopped to get a close look at 1.5m freshly, and then arrived back just in time before out time ended.
Everyone was tired and we had a quiet afternoon riding bikes in the shade and going for a quick dip in the spring. Clint finished his 4th book and already had a 5th lined up.
